Pro-Lite Padova Disc Wheel - Tubular - Shimano

Built on Japanese EZO bearings for less rolling resistance and only having 4 bearings make the Padova easy to spin up to speed and maintain the speed. Built with honeycomb Nomex inside, a technology taken from the aircraft industry. The inside is not hollow like many other disc wheels. The wheel is extremely rigid and is able to give the best power transfer whilst still being light weight by most standards. Coming in either a tubular or full carbon clincher.

The Padova 2 in 1 hub lets the rider switch from road to track in a matter of seconds. The wheel is supplied with all the parts necessary for the conversion.

Hub
The Padova features a 2-in-1 hub which allows a 'hot swap' between a road type free body and a track type axle with a fixed gear in around a minute with simple tools. All necessary hardware is included.

Disc
One of the keys to the remarkable rigidity and power transfer of the Padova disc wheel has always been its Nomex core. Borrowed from the aeronautics industry, Nomex has extraordinary strength and rigidity, such as when sandwiched between two layers of carbon fiber in this wheel.

Carbon Tubular Rim
The Padova carbon tubular rim is a standard tubular profile, offering excellent ride quality and lower weight. With the braking surface kept away from the tube, and a heat-resistant resin, braking temperatures aren't a problem.
